  1. pranavhey! i'm a sophomore at UF studying data science + economics. i build fast software, data tools and voice interfaces, mostly in python, typescript and rust, and i ship with AI (claude code, codex, antigravity) every day.

Velo Research

A quantitative research desk running systematic strategies. Ideas come from two places: my own, which is where the best ones have come from, and Hypothesize, which reads more research than I ever could. Every idea faces the same tests wherever it came from, and the few that survive trade through Speed.

Pipeline: ideas come from me and from Hypothesize; every one goes through the same testing, where most die; survivors are forward tested on data they never saw, then trade through Speed.

  • costs are assumed high, so thin edges die in testing, not in the market
  • nothing trades until it holds up on data it was never fit to
  • the details stay private
drag to turn it

01 · charting platform

Speed

I used TradingView, Quantower, Deepcharts, MotiveWave and NinjaTrader. none of them met my bar, so I built the one that does.

A charting platform meant to replace all of them: live charts, orderflow, drawing tools and order entry in one desktop app, as fast as the hardware allows.

  • Rust + Tauri host feeding a TypeScript/WebAssembly engine through a lock-free ring buffer and a 24-byte binary wire format.
  • Zero-allocation hot path holds 144–240Hz while thousands of updates a second arrive.
  • 1,180+ unit and integration tests.
  • Where Velo Research's strategies trade.

tauri over electron keeps the app small, but WebView2's quirks are mine to fix. the slow part was never drawing: one scan of the gap list per tick made sparse feeds quadratic, and indexing it once per batch took 21 ms to 2.

02 · voice agent · SwampHacks 2026

Blip

screen readers make the web usable, but slowly. we wanted you to just say what you want done.

A voice agent that lets blind and low-vision people browse, read, write and fill out forms on any website.

  • "Read my latest email. Reply: yes, see you then. Send it." One conversation, start to finish.
  • Runs in your own browser next to NVDA, with on-device speech in and out.
  • Never acts on anything important without your exact words.

on-device speech costs a one-time model download and some accuracy against cloud speech. in return nothing you say leaves your machine, and the model can route a request but never approve one.

03 · data workbench

GEXLab

I wanted to see why price kept stalling at the same levels, and every tool that showed it hid its math.

A self-hosted workbench that puts options data, macro context and market history in one place, with every number reproducible.

  • Computes exposure, key levels, volatility surfaces and term structure from raw options chains.
  • Live and replay modes; every calculation is versioned in SQLite so any result can be rebuilt.
  • Honest about its limits: when a model doesn't beat its out-of-sample baseline, the app says so.

no api keys, only public sources, so anyone can run it. those sources change formats and go down, so it shows stale or missing data as stale or missing, never a guess.

04 · llm research pipeline

Hypothesize

ideas are cheap online. I wanted something that kills the bad ones before anyone acts on them.

A pipeline that reads papers and blog posts, turns their claims into testable hypotheses, then tries hard to break them.

  • Collects papers, blogs and RSS feeds and extracts candidate rules with an audit trail back to the source.
  • Tests every candidate on local data and ranks survivors with robust statistics.
  • Every rejected idea is logged with its reason, so a weak claim can't sneak through as a result.
  • One of Velo Research's two idea sources, alongside my own.

the bar is strict on purpose, so some real effects get thrown out. losing a few true ideas is cheaper than acting on noise.

python · polars · pymupdf · sqlite

05 · recommender · class project

Spotifind

my recommendations kept looping the same twenty songs.

Music recommendations from audio features: pick a song, get the ones that sound most like it.

audio features only, no listening history. it can't learn your taste, but it also never falls back to whatever's popular.

python · pandas · streamlit

About

I'm a sophomore at the University of Florida studying data science and economics.

Most of my projects started because I wanted a tool that didn't exist yet, or the one that did was too slow. I like work where the numbers have to hold up.

AI is part of how I build every day. I write code with Claude Code, Codex and Antigravity, I shipped MCP servers at Intellizence that put a company's data inside AI assistants, and Hypothesize uses LLMs to read research and turn it into something testable.
